The Edinburg Ole Time Festival
Every year on the third weekend of
Sept. this sleepy little town comes alive with a festival
of music, arts and crafts, parades, and great food.
Sept 21th - 23rd
The
Edinburg Ole' Time Festival is held the third weekend in
September of each year. It is sponsored by the Ole' Time
Festival Committee and the Town of Edinburg. As a family
oriented Festival, activities include approximately one
hundred crafters, food booths, children events,
entertainment and there are no admission fees.

Edinburg was incorporated in 1854
and was an active crossroads town from the late 18th
century. The iron industry led to mills established to
supply furnaces. Farmers brought grain into Edinburg to
be ground. While the Civil War was devastating to
Edinburg and the Madison District, the area returned to
pre-war activity and people prospered. Because of modern
transportation and better jobs elsewhere, the area began
to change from commercial and farm activity to a
retirement haven, tourist attractions, art groups and
small shops.
