Washington, D.C. Airports
Three airports serve the
D.C. metropolitan area: Washington Dulles International
Airport, Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, and
Baltimore/Washington International Airport.
Washington Dulles
International Airport (IAD). Dulles is the closest
airport to Harpers Ferry—about 40 miles, 50 minutes
estimated driving time. Public transportation between
Harpers Ferry and Dulles is limited—requiring a trip
into Union Station in downtown Washington, D.C., then
back out to Harpers Ferry, effectively doubling your trip.

Ronald Reagan
Washington National Airport (DCA). National is
located just outside D.C. in Virginia—about 70 miles
from Harpers Ferry, 1.5 hours estimated driving time.
Public transportation is an option: Take Metrorail subway
train from National to Union Station, then the MARC train's
Brunswick line from Union Station to Harpers Ferry.
